In addition, ââ¬Ëthere was little corporation between the content people in the United States and the technical wizards in Japanââ¬â¢. The production units like the Play Station had been enjoying exceed independence by working outside the companyââ¬â¢s mainstream and by initiating alliance with other parties. It is uncertain if sonny can endure with this sort of ââ¬Ëluxuryââ¬â¢ in future namely in its innovative processes. Difference between Real and Artifial in the Age of Digital Technology Essay
Difference between Real and Artifial in the Age of Digital Technology - Essay Example Digital technologies refer to accessing any information, anywhere, anytime through a digital device. It also allows interacting by sharing comments, feedbacks, live chats etc. furthermore, the digital media is very close to the forms of art and science. The technology, equipment and gears used are the scientific postmodern advancements that have been made and which greatly allow the digital media to take over. However, art also has a close link with the digital media which has influenced the media world (Angela, p251). Although arts is something which is created, innovated and formed by the imaginations of an artist, the meaning can be taken in another way which is the transformation and artificiality of the real picture. The digital media is not only influencing the scientific world, but it is also changing the role of an artist. An artist is meant to use his imaginations to produce creativity, but today the digital world has lead an artist to work on the transformations of reality to artificiality. Digital technologies have enabled powerful forms of artistic creation, simulation and special effects but there are already questions that artists have begun to ask. One of the question is that is the use of digital media a threat to the original innovation and imagination of an artist. A piece of art tends to show the imaginations of an artist conceiving the 3D world around us, however when it comes to digital technologies, science believes that there is more than just the 3D world. Thus, they call it ââ¬Ëtechnoeticsââ¬â¢. They use this word because they believe in recognizing the technology with the wide imaginations of an artist. They believe that the consciousness can be well represented through the digital technologies as the visualization is immense. The best example which can be seen around is the use of digitalization in images. It involves the use of new artistic creations, simulations and special effects that are done by the use of graphics in digit al technology. There is an original art in the visualization of reality into a painting, sculpture, drawing or photograph. A photograph captures reality and every photograph shows a new piece of art to the people. However, the use of digital media on such a photograph can change the view of the picture from being realistic to fiction (Monahan, p15). An image, despite being taken originally has to go through digitalization in this modern era. This includes alterations made on these images; transformations, editing and renovations. A graphic designer would hold the job to modify a real picture through the many tools available. The detailing and working on a picture would lead it to have special effects that would make it evident that the picture has been simulated. This way a picture loses its natural look and the originality that shows the vision of the artist. The original handmade work of an artist is the real form of artistic creation. Though digital graphics is also a type of art s which is greatly used in the modern era in place of handmade art works, it includes the use of graphic plates and digital pens. It is a form of art which allows an artist to express his views on a digital medium rather than a paper or canvas. This is the artificial form of artistic creation, not because of the difference in ideology, but because of the mediums of technology used in both these types. A practical example

Thomas Nagel. What is the thesis of Nagel's article The Absurd Essay
Thomas Nagel. What is the thesis of Nagel's article The Absurd - Essay Example He mostly takes the key concern on meaning of life. Thomas Nagel sets out that there are good grounds that make absurd to apply to lives. He viewed that our lives are absurd therefore meaningless that is absurdum. In his article, Nagel opens by stating four reasons for absurdum. The first reason he cites is that our being here will not be important for a very long time from now. He states nothing we do now will matter in million years to come. Thomas Nagel said thatâ⬠by the same token, nothing that will be the case in a million years matters now.â⬠He goes on and says that everything we do now in a million times will be meaningless. (Joad, 1944).à The second cite for absurdum is that he sees that we are very small as compared to the entire universe. Thomas says that the whole universe is infinite large as compared to our lives, therefore our lives are absurd for now. ... (Jaspers, 1969).à In ordinary life, life itself is absurd; Nagel puts that ââ¬Å"when it includes a conspicuous discrepancy between pretension or aspiration and reality: someone gives a complicated speech in support of a motion that has already been passedâ⬠in addition, Thomas Nagel continues to consider what count good ground for his thesis. He claims we try to check one that has aspiration and reality. Nagel went ahead and gave an example, to demonstrate this being knighted just as trousers fall down. He went ahead and said that for most of time we live our lives as if they are not absurd, as if there is no nothing that brings changes between our aspiration and reality that makes our live absurd. Nagel had certain perspective in mind that we look at our lives from a stand, which is not involving. In this stand, we can step back and find the whole system of critics and justifications, which controls our supports and our claims to rationality which rests upon our habits the refore we should know how to disagree without circularity. Generally Nagel claims that absurd is striking sort of thing in our lives. The most interesting aspects of his article are the problem that Nagel connects problem of the meaning of life to other problems of epistemological of radical skepticsââ¬â¢. Actually, he claims that such skeptic come in when there is use of disengaged standpoint. Thomas Nagel says that both cases someone wills recognizes the justification made which cannot be justified without the threat of circularity. Thomas Nagel claims, ââ¬Å"In both cases the final, philosophical doubt is not contrasted with any unchallenged certainties, though it is arrived at by extrapolation from examples of doubt within the system of evidence or

Marketing Research - Essay Example It is therefore important that the manufacturer picks another sample so that he eventually has an average estimate of opinions from both the large and the small hardware. It is likely that the first sample was influenced by issues which could have affected the quality of the results. It therefore creates the need to make another picking. Mind body issue Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Mind body issue - Essay Example One of the most important questions asked is whether the mind is part of the body or the body part of the mind. What makes the two connect or interact with each other if at all they are distinct? This also makes many wonder, which one should be in charge in case of distinctive existence. The question requires proper understanding and argumentation because every point of view has a logical explanation. The main aim is to ensure that the process of determining this will meet the main attributes of the relationship, explaining everything based on the theories put forward to explain this relationship. The mind and the body are two distinct attributes that casually interact at given times for the sake of performing bodily activities. Descartes is one of the proponents of dualism and pointed out clearly that the mind was the consciousness that existed within an individual. Unlike the brain, which was the source of the intelligence individuals possessed, the mind was an attribute that defined and determined the thought processes of a human being (Squire 20). The main reason for taking a dualistic stand is the fact that the mind has a different functionality in comparison to matter. Mind has a conscious attribute that cannot not reduced to physical attributes despite the number of times studies are conducted on it. A proper organization of matter allows for emergence of mental properties (Kim 40). The mind will only react to that which it sees as appropriately connected to the way it operates. This means that the mind will not come to full action when it perceives something is not okay. When someone is sick, the body has some deficiencies. The body will not operate well and the mind will be unresponsive in that are a. For example, if one has leprosy, the body goes numb and no thought process can make that part of the body to have any form of functionality. The mind will work on

Getting caught by your child - Essay Example The poem does not begin with the speaker describing his love making but starts with what the speaker can do when he is not making love to his spouse, the speak could "play music" or "sit up talking with any reasonably sober Irishmen". Apart from describing the physical characteristics of the individual, the simile "snores like a bullhorn" serves a dual function and describes that the speaker will sleep sounding like a bullhorn after making love to his spouse. In the lines 3 and 4, the author describes his son Fergus by stating "and Fergus will only sink deeper into his dreamless sleep". The author cunningly uses the name Fergus for his son, who is a great warrior king of Ulster in a famous Irish legend. The author in ââ¬Å"goes by all in one flash" describes his sons peaceful sleep. The author describes that the child himself never feels that he slept because he wakes up so fresh. In line six, the speaker describes the heavy breathing of his son as he drifts into a deeper sleep. The writer drastically changes the scenario in the next line by stating that the child wakes up in his safe bed with a stifled cry i.e. a forceful and suffocating cry. In line 8, the speaker describes how frightened his child is from being wrenched out of his dreamless sleep by stating, "And he will wrench himself awake" and ââ¬Å"make for it on the run-ad now we lie together". The author uses alliterations by stating "come cry" and "wrench" in an effort to resonate the intensity of the childs pain and fear.
